Thank you for a great evening at Bricks!

Wow! Becci and Andy from Cheetah Medical had us enthralled with their noninvasive fluid management system - for sepsis in particular. If anyone hasn’t kept up with the latest updates from the international sepsis committee, take a moment and go to the SCCM Or Surviving Sepsis websites. Meanwhile, how exciting to be nurses in a time where we are able to monitor patients noninvasively and in real time rather than use static measurements obtained by very invasive means! The food was great and the company even better.
We had more Member recognitions and will continue that at future events. It is evident that Great Basin members do great things. Last night we recognized our affiliate member Cathy for becoming a published author on the topic of psychological safety in simulation, Gay for being selected by Kaplan as one of their new educators for NCLEX prep, and our student member, Rebecca, who is due to graduate next month, for already having her first job waiting for her in the cardiac ICU! Those of us who attended were reluctant to leave as we had so many people we hadn’t seen in ages who we needed to catch up with! Truly a fabulous evening was had by all. Be sure to check out the pIcs in the photo gallery.
Check the announcements page for our next event: a meet and greet/cookie exchange at REMSA’s Center for Pre-hospital education. We will also be collecting money to donate to the Awaken project. Awaken helps victims of human trafficking.
Thank you again for being such a fabulous chapter. It is an honor and a privilege to be your president.
